About TreesAndRocks.Love

TreesAndRocks.Love is a locally founded charity created to share the peace, beauty, and joy of nature with people who are often left out of outdoor experiences.

While many take access to nature for granted, we’ve seen firsthand how many people—especially those with special needs or limited resources—rarely get the chance to step into the woods, visit the water, or experience the calm that the natural world provides.

Our work is about changing that reality, one experience at a time.

Our Story

TreesAndRocks.Love began just six months ago, but the heart behind it has been years in the making.

The idea took root after our founder, Marnie Patterson, overheard a special needs adult at a scenic overlook say she didn’t know places like that even existed. That moment was both beautiful and heartbreaking—and it sparked a simple but powerful question:

How many people never get to experience this at all?

From that day forward, Marnie began paying closer attention to how many individuals and groups lack access to nature due to mobility, resources, fear, or circumstance. TreesAndRocks.Love was created to bridge that gap and open the door to outdoor experiences for those who deserve them just as much as anyone else.

Who We Are

We are a small, local, owner-operated team based in Michigan, made up of people who genuinely love nature and care deeply about helping others experience it.

We work closely with organizations, caregivers, and community programs to make sure every outing or program is planned with intention, care, and respect.

Our Philosophy

Everything we do is guided by a few non-negotiable principles:

Rather than offering generic programs, we focus on specificality—designing each experience around the people involved.

Who We Serve

TreesAndRocks.Love most often works with:

If your group has ever felt that nature outings were “not for you,” we exist to change that perspective.
